8 of us joined the RC Wien II in their league match against Salzburg, so I think we can count this game at least as a friendly of our team. ;-) In the first half we had great problems with giving support and handling the ball, so Salzburg could put itself 20 points in front. This became much better in the 2nd and we were able to hold the ball in our team, put Salzburg under pressure and score five times. Salzburg once more could win the game because of their fast backrow-players who use the mistakes of their opponents in a deadly way.

Another high defeat against Salzburg. Altough we tried to fight against the power of the Salzburg team, we did not have a chance because we played with some rookies and occasional players. Lets forget this match and look into the future to the next games. The 1.ORSC will not give up. Thanks to Hans-Jörg Morri from Wr. Neustadt and Thomas Kissler who supported us at wing position.

A great match ended with a victory for the 1. ORSC!! We fought bravely and everybody gave 100% so we defeated the viennese team without any problems. Thanks to Thomas Österreicher from Leoben who helped us out at fullback position because Stefan Rothschedl participated at the match Austria vs Moldavia.

While we had to fight hard for every metre we went forward, Salzburg crashed us with fast runs over half of the field. Great problems in the play without the ball and with our support brought us a horrendous defeat. Thanks to the players of RC Wien and Wiener Neustadt for joining our team.

A fantastic match ended with a win for the 1.ORSC. It was a very close match, both teams were highly motivated, but in the end of the match we showed the vienna team how to play rugby. At 12:12 the referee did not count a try for us from Thaller, but in the 80th minute we scored another 5 points with a beautiful combination over the whole field. Special Thanks goes to the players from Leoben and Lycee who helped us out.

The closest score in a league match this season doesn't mean that this was our best match too. We had great problems with tackling and support and don't ask what the score would be without our friends from Innsbruck. The first 'official' western derby was a hard but very fair played game which Salzburg could win because of their will to fight and their better physical condition. Both backrows showed some good runs and scored most of the points. So great respect goes out to RC Salzburg for forming such a good team only in a few months!

We didn't have any chance against the the players from the vienna team who had support from some A-team players. They really damaged us and we had several injuries, although we always tried to fight bravely.

13 of us played against 14 highly motivated players from vienna. The viennese team was superior to us but we fought agressively. A great problem at the moment is that a lot of important people aren't able to come to the training and to the matches. We hope this is getting better soon...
